I sit here with my knees to my chest, my fingers drumming on my shins, staring vacantly at the white wall. There really is nothing to do here, just as Peeta had said. The cellular phone Beetee gave me lies on the completely bare coffee table in the center of the room, the only piece of furniture in the entire three room apartment. Commissions for a good cause
In 2007 a man from Uganda came to Appalachian State University. He spoke to a social work class and here, in 2012, that same teacher is in the proccess of planning her 4th trip to Uganda and is still working with the nonprofit organization, YOFAFO, that that man worked for.
The particular village we work with is called Shitola. On the second trip, that teacher took me, her oldest daughter at 11 with her and that trip we built a house for the founder of the nonprofit's Aunt, who's house fell down during the rainy season. From the ground we constructed a brick house which she still lives in.
